Queerly’s Harvey Morton was on the red carpet this week for the European premiere of ‘Blink Twice’, the highly anticipated directorial debut from Zoë Kravitz. The psychological thriller, starring Channing Tatum, Naomi Ackie, Alia Shawkat, and Christian Slater, is set to hit cinemas this Friday 23rd August 2024.

The film follows the story of Frida, a cocktail waitress played by Naomi Ackie, who is invited to a dream vacation on the private island of tech billionaire Slater King (Channing Tatum) after a chance encounter at his fundraising gala. What starts as a sun-soaked paradise soon takes a sinister turn, leaving Frida to uncover the truth if she hopes to make it out alive.

Speaking exclusively to Queerly, Zoë Kravitz shared her inspiration for stepping into the director’s chair: “It was really this film that made me want to direct. I saw something so clearly in my mind, it was so personal, that I felt uncomfortable passing it on to somebody else.”
